I was reminded again yesterday as I spoke to someone who was here to give us a proposal about some further work to be done. My 85-year old house looks as if it were painted yesterday
"Brush Painting painted my 85-year old house in NE Portland six years ago and the paint job looks as if it were painted yesterday - literally!
The prep work took over a week - Brush Painting stripped, caulked, bondo-ed, masked and thoroughly cleaned the house before applying any paint. Paint was applied with a sprayer and every inch was back-brushed into the wood. I have no doubt that the paint adhered properly and will last many years.
Before removing any paint, Brush Painting tested for lead, which of course came up positive. Brush Painting adhered to all Oregon environmental codes when removing the paint and properly covered the work area so that the removed paint was contained. This was extremely important to me as the parent of a small child.
Osman and his crew are professional, courteous, punctual and extremely hard workers. They arrived on time, worked quietly and efficiently, and cleaned up before leaving every day. Osman spent time answering all my questions before, during, and after they painted my house. I hire Brush Painting to power wash my house every year now - just to keep it in tip top shape.

"When we decided our 1920s era Irvington bungalow needed painting, we got several bids with differing opinions on how much paint should be removed. Osman Calidonio spent more time than any other painter discussing the options, including how we could keep our costs down by removing the old paint from only the areas that needed it most.
His crew spent more time preparing the house for painting than actually applying the paint. They cleaned up every day, and they carefully removed and replaced any exterior items such as hose racks and other bits of hardware that wouldn’t be painted. They spent extra time repairing some cracked panels on our garage door and prepping a troublesome exterior stair bannister where the paint from earlier contractors had failed repeatedly.
Three years later, and our house still looks great. Osman has provided advice on other painting projects, including an interior job botched by another painter. Working with Brush Painting was one of the best contractor experiences we’ve had in the 22 years we’ve owned our house."

We had our home scraped and painted by Brush Painting. The results were fantastic. The crew was absolutely amazing and such hard workers. Osman kept our project on track after another contracter left us in a jam. Our paint removal was in progress when Brush took over. We called Osman on a Saturday and he and paint removal crew were at our house that afternoon to take over and clean up. They were very conscientious about containing the area where they worked and following all lead safe practices like signage and wearing proper gear while they worked. They cleaned up after the removal completely each day. Lead safety is a huge concern for us as we have young children. Brush followed the rules and put us totally at ease with our project.
Their prep work was impressive and thorough. They worked hard every day to get the job completed as quickly as possible. The paint job from Brush completed the exterior transformation of our house.
